Back to [the new] Reality

Happy New Year everyone!
We had a wonderful Christmas!
Last Friday, my sweet baby girl turned six weeks old...
So, yesterday, I was back to work.
Right now, short and sweet sewing projects are working for me (still adjusting to 2 babies).
I decided that the kids needed a new bag to take to daycare, so I whipped up a new tote.
I didn't get a picture of the old daycare bag. It was a freebie from one of the formula companies... it had seen better days - and met the garbage can.

This is the "Six Pack Stack" tote from Whistlepig Creek. I adjusted the placement of the fabric to make this a "his & hers" bag for the kids. It's completely reversible, and is the right size for diapers and a change of clothes for the little ones. I was even able to fit my little man's snow pants in there!
I used fabric that I had in my stash... A few Westminster prints and Robert Kauffman prints.
But - It wasn't easy to cut into my prized Amy Butler yardage.
While I was at it, I put together a little bottle bag with the scraps.

It fits 3 Tommie Tippie bottles nice and snug, and is quilted with Thinsulbrite to give it a little insulating capability.
(I'm kinda proud of my little creation).
It's nice to be back.
I'm hoping to get down to my sewing room a little more often now that the family is settling into a routine.
Have a wonderful evening everyone!
