Sunday Snippets!

Just snippets of the weekend tonight.

What a wonderful weekend it was!

My sisters came to visit.

I had a great balance of productivity and relaxation.

I found this little guy at a craft show Saturday morning. I completely fell in love with this vintage planter turned pin cushion.

What a fabulous idea! 

I had the opportunity to sit and work on some hand stitching. Hoping to finish this project before Thanksgiving!

My camera died before I could get to my design wall... BUT the quilt top for my scrappy stash QAL is assembled.

I took my freezer paper and drew out my wonky geese paper piecing that will be bordering my log cabins.

 I cannot wait to get this finished!

I haven't been this excited about a project in such a long time!

A Thoughtful Thursday: More Hexie Love

So I've been playing with the lay out for my Hexie table runner:

I'm also very proud to announce that I finally started getting my scraps together for the Scrappy Stash QAL.

 

I am getting excited about the quilt along- but need another project like I need a hole in my head ;)

I've got to get these pressed and cut into strips.

 

And I told my sisters I would do a few craft shows with them late this month and early next month.

And I am going want to make my son and #2 trick-or-treat bags.

And I am going want to make Halloween pillowcases for my son and #2.

And I want to make a Halloween table runner.

And I need to make my son a Halloween costume.

 

And there is more... But that's for another time.

 

One last thing before I go...

Four years ago today, I made the best promise of my life!

WIP Wednesday

I have so many WIP's- but I'm most gung-ho about this one at the moment:

 

 

My fall scrap hexies! I started this project late last week becuase I have quite a few "hand-stitching" opportunities coming up.

 (And believe it or not, I totally missed it once the I-Spy quilt was done!)

 

 

The current idea floating around in my head is a table runner, set on this natural colored linen. I tossed this design together for the sake of having something for my post tonight...

But the more I look at it, the more I wish it had a more 'modern' feel to it.

Good thing it's a Work in Progress! ;)
